Original 5th Doctor items on eBay -
August 2016

This first item I found on eBay this month was originally sold at the big Bonhams Doctor Who costume auction in 1991.

It was either part of Lot 49 or Lot 50, which contained a number of costume pieces from Resurrection Of The Daleks, including body suits, belts, jackets, helmets and the cap.

The hat was re-sold (or one very similar) at another Bonhams auction in 2011.

I am not 100% sure if this is the same hat - there were many made for the story so it could be one of many.

Still, the seller has provided some great detailed images of the hat, giving some clues to its construction.

Resurrection Of The Daleks
Prison ship soldier’s hat

This is a gem.

This is a genuine (not replica) cap from the classic episode of Doctor Who- Resurrection of the Daleks. It was worn by the soldiers who boarded the spaceship.

This was bought from John Fitton (RIP) Books and Magazines c. 1990, folowing the selloff of costumes from the BBC.

Not sure how to price this. It originally cost me £75, and that was quite some time ago. So open to offers. Buyer is welcome to inspect in person before buying, but cash only for collection (Surrey) please.

If you have any questions, please do ask. I have a number of harder-to-find Doctor Who items up for auction, so please do take a look and see if anthing takes your fancy.

Original 5th Doctor items on eBay - December 2015

Earthshock - Earth Troopers Helmet
Doctor Who Earthshock (1982) Original Production Earth Troopers Helmet An original Earth Troopers helmet worn on screen in Earthshock (1982) starring Peter Davison as the Doctor.

The helmet is made from fibreglass. This helmet is still in it's original condition, hasn't been repainted like other helmets that where used in another Doctor Who story. This Trooper helmet still has the original lights in the sides, also has the cradle inside that goes around the actor's head. The helmet is still in a lovely screen used condition !

I only know of a few of these's helmet's out there, a very rare Doctor Who prop. Comes with display stand. This item comes with a Movie Bits Certificate of Authenticity.

Original 5th Doctor items on eBay -
November 2015

Okay, so this isn’t strictly an “original” item of Fifth Doctor costume or prop, but it dates from the Peter Davison era.

It’s an interesting item, and did sell for quite a lot of money, given what it is.

Longleat Doctor Who Exhibition
TARDIS control panel section

Doctor Who Tardis control panel from the original Longleat Doctor Who exhibition from the 1970s/80s. This item was one of three at the exhibition but this particular item is purported to have original parts of the Tardis. This item was one of a handful of items which survived the fire at Longleat that destroyed most of the exhibition in the mid-90s. It plugs in and has working sounds and lighting

I've shown images of this panel in the Longleat Doctor Who exhibition.

Control panel size,

Lenght - 179cm
Width - 39cm
Height - front of panel 8cm, back of panel 23cm

The exhibition itself was built by a company called Parker Hinson out in Ruislip and it might have been that the panels were made or animated by Tony Oxley formerly of the Visual Effects dept.

In good condition for a prop of this age, missing a small piece formica on both corners, but looks fantastic when switch on.

A rare piece that survived the fire at Longleat.

Regarding postage, weight at a guess is approx 25kg, item will need to be picked up or by a courier. Item can be delivered within a 100 mile radius of St.Austell for £50 by local delivery man.

Original 5th Doctor items on eBay -

This is a rather nice item that’s for sale on eBay at the moment. Bit better than anything in the Bonhams Entertainment Memorabilia sale this summer.

Screen worn 5th Doctor costumes -
Silurian special

That Silurian Right Arm and Chest is back on eBay - yet again!

It original sold in May last year, and was re-listed a couple of months later, failing to find a buyer.

Warriors Of The Deep
Silurian right arm and chest
SOLD FOR £94

You are bidding on part of a original Silurian costume ie the front part of the right Arm and Chest, but not the back part of the costume. This was part of the Silurian body suit worn on-screen by Norman Comer playing the lead role of Ichtar in the 1984 Doctor Who story Warriors Of The Deep.

This Silurian right arm and chest is part of the Silurian body suit sold in Bonhams Doctor Who sale in 1991. The costume had the name of the actor "Norman Comer" written in which is the name of the leader ichta. This part of the costume has the actor's name written in.

This is an amazing piece and is in its original condition, the arm has lost some reptilian latex skin.

I only know of two surviving silurians costumes from the entire history of the original dr who series - this part of the costume is from one of them.

Original 5th Doctor items on eBay -
Dalek trooper special

If you’ve always wanted to dress as a Dalek Trooper from Resurrection Of The Daleks, now seems to be the time to live your dream!

Resurrection of the Daleks
Dalek trooper suit
SOLD FOR £311.23

Here is an item I bought in the early 1990s from Stuart Evans, producer of the OOP Sevans Models kits.

I think it’s an original screen-used costume but I can’t be 100% certain.

Interestingly, a couple of years after I had it, I found a note in one of the chest pockets stating ‘Jeff ring Maria in Make Up ASAP’.

I’ve always meant to check out the credits of Remembrance of the Daleks to see if this corresponds but I never have.

There is also ‘Geoff’ (different spelling) written on the inside of the costume.

I don’t think the gloves are original (they’ve begun to deteriorate so I’m providing a second set) and the waist webbing was added by Stuart.

You will receive:- Dalek Trooper suit/overall-grey webbing-two pairs of black rubber gloves-correspondence letters.

Earthshock & The Five Doctors Screen Used Doctor Who Cyberman Suit

Here is your opportunity to own a rare piece of TV History.

This Cyberman suit was used in Earthshock & The Five Doctors.
The name written in the back of the suit is Wayne. Jeff Wayne was a cyber extra in Earthshock.

Please see video from 'This Morning' below which includes the Bonhams evaluation.

Please note that the Suit & Boots are original but it will come with a reproduction Chest Unit & Head worth around £400 and all are mounted on a mannequin.

Original 5th Doctor items on eBay - November 2013

The first item on eBay this month is a pair of armour pieces from Snakedance.

These are very similar to a set sold back in February.

Snakedance
Guard Armour

Original guard armour from the 1983 Doctor Who serial Snakedance starring Peter Davison as The Doctor.

These two armour pieces, see worn by the guards, are constructed from fibreglass with mosaic detailing and have been hand painted, two leather laces either side were used to keep the armour in place.

Cast in two sections and bonded together these were created specifically for this story by the BBC.

Each armour piece measures 5.5" x 4.5" and both are in excellent condition with some minor wear from production use.

Accompanied by a COA from thepropgallery.com

Caves of Androzani

What better Christmas present for the Whovian in your life as the Doctor celebrates his 50th year.

Any questions or request for more photos please email.
Will only send registered mail or collection in person.
Happy to send overseas, postage only a rough indicator happy to explore other methods of postage and will only charge cost.

On 06-Nov-13 at 21:31:50 GMT, seller added the following information:
Added 6/11/13 21:10

Additional photos added as requested, hand written in trousers "Alan Talburt 34W" (yes I know different spelling to jacket).

In answer to numerous emails I do not intend to put a buy it now price or to do a deal outside ebay, I intend to let the auction run its full duration.

I appreciate the interest in any other costumes or props I have, dependant on how this item goes I may list another item or 2 in my own time, if anyone would like the heads up on this send me your email and I'll let you know if I'm going to sell anything when I decide.

With regards to any proof of pedigree, I bought this at a Dr Who action nearly 20 years ago for cash, there were no receipts or auction catalogues, I believe that the auctioneer was John Nathan Turner (JNT) long standing producer of Dr Who along with David Roden who co-wrote the Dimensions in Time special in 1993, the convention was in May1994.
Hope this helps.

Silurian body parts on eBay - UPDATE!

The silurian body parts keep coming on eBay!

After the sale of the Right Arm and Chest, Left Arm and Back, Right Leg, as well as Framed Body Parts - we now get the breast plate!

Warriors Of The Deep
Silurian breast plate
SOLD FOR £395.29

This is a Silurian breast plate and back plate from the 1984 Peter Davison story Warriors of the Deep.

This has come directly from my private collection of props and costumes. I was given this by someone who worked for the company who made many of the props, costumes and monsters including the Cybermen in the 1980's.

Once filming had finished things like this were either scraped or sent to the exhibitions. This one survived both of those fates and I was given it some years later as part payment for some work I carried out.

This basically consists of two glass fibre halves that bolt together to form the armour on the body of the Silurians. It looks like it would have been held together by 4 fixings, possibly small bolts which are missing. It is exceptionally well made with a painted finish to match the rest of the suit.

Obviously being nearly 30 years old it has knocks and scrapes but is in remarkably good condition for its age. There are various chips, cracks and other marks on the armour as can be seen in the pictures.

The reason I'm selling this (and other pieces from my collection) is that I have several original pieces that I prefer and as I'm thinning out my collection this is one of the items I'm letting go.
